Radiology

As we always aim to provide the highest quality medicine and diagnostic testing, we are excited to offer radiology services to ensure excellent treatment for our patients.

Radiography can be used to evaluate almost any organ in the body, including the heart, lungs, abdominal organs, and bones. It is painless, safe, and completely non-invasive.

Parasite Prevention and Control

Most of the worst diseases pets acquire come from parasites. And we are not just talking about fleas and ticks, some parasites live in your pet's lungs, heart, and intestines.

You may not always be able to tell if your pet has a parasitic infection. Fortunately, our staff can examine your pet for evidence of parasites, discuss what signs you can look for at home, discuss treatment options if your pet already has parasites, and recommend ways to control and prevent them in the future.

Microchipping

Millions of pets get lost yearly, and you don't want your pet to be part of the statistics. Traditional identification methods, such as collars and tags, fail more often than you think. They can be easily lost or removed and usually become unreadable over time, making it difficult to identify the owner and reunite them with their lost pet.

Our microchip implantation takes only a few minutes and is very safe. Each microchip is about the size and shape of a grain of rice and carries vital information about your pet, including name, address, and contact information.

Large Animal Care

Arroyo Seco offers care and husbandry advice for our clients with large animals, emphasizing quality at our facility. Our veterinarians and trained staff can perform the following services for large animals:

Equine Coggins Testing

Floating Teeth

Health Certificates

Preventative Medicine

Laboratory Testing

Trichomoniasis Testing

Nutritional Counselling

Whether your pet has special dietary needs or needs to shed or gain a few pounds, our nutritional counselling services can help you accomplish your goals and keep your pet healthy.

We offer counselling in dietary selection and feeding practices for pets during various life stages, such as growth, pregnancy, nursing, and the "golden years." If your pet has a medical condition, we can help you select the most appropriate diet to suit your pet's needs.

Dental Care

Does your best buddy have unpleasant breath?

If yes, we can handle that and other dental problems your beloved pet may face. We examine their teeth and gums to help determine if there are any other issues you should know about.

Despite what many people think, dental hygiene is crucial to your pet's health. Dental disease is related to other serious health problems like heart and kidney disease. Maintaining a healthy mouth is part of the long healthy life you want for your pet.

Hospice and Euthanasia Services

You decide when your pet may need hospice care or euthanasia service, but you don't have to do it alone. We conduct these services with respect, compassion, and care.

Saying goodbye to your beloved pet is the most difficult situation pet owners face when their friends are terminally ill, elderly, or suffering. Given the unfortunate situation, our compassionate and caring professionals can help you through this awful experience, ensuring your pet's comfort and dignity during their last days.

Rabbits and Small Mammals

With the increasing popularity of small mammals such as rabbits, guinea pigs, ferrets, and others, more and more pet owners want to welcome these special fluffy creatures to their families. However, it is important to understand that small mammals require routine wellness care, much like dogs and cats.

Our veterinary experts will let you know when they need to be spayed or neutered, what vaccination schedule to follow to help maintain good health and all the information you must know about their nutrition, cage cleaning, grooming, or any aspects of care and husbandry.

Senior Pet Care

Did you know that many pets can be considered seniors at around seven years of age?

At this point, their health care also changes. Nutritional needs, exercise habits, and many other aspects of your pet's daily routine will change as they age. Even if your senior pet is already being treated for a medical condition, treatment recommendations can change as the condition progresses. Luckily, our veterinary expert staff will be there for you to guide you and let you know when these changes need to take place.

Pain Management

Did you know that many types of pain can look different in animals?

For example, a dog with chronic arthritis may exhibit subtle signs of pain that can go unnoticed unless you know what to look for.

Pain management is among our primary considerations when treating a pet for any medical condition. Our staff is skilled in recognizing signs of pain in animals and developing an individualized plan for managing pain in our patients.
